Rival Darts keeps score while you throw at your own board, and gives you an opponent who throws like a person. Rival aims for the treble 20, drifts into the 5, misses doubles, and gets better as you do.

The screens show sample data.
Most dartbots hand you a score from a table: 45, then 60, then a checkout that never misses. Rival throws darts. He picks a bed, aims for it, and lands somewhere near it, the way a human hand does. You see every dart arrive on the board, with a dashed ring where he was aiming. When he goes for double 16 and lands just outside the wire, you watch it happen.
Under 30, 30 to 45, 45 to 60 or more. Not sure is fine too. Rival starts there, so your first leg is already a fair one.
Throw your three darts at your own board and type the score on big keys. Then Rival takes his turn on screen, one dart at a time, at a pace you can follow or skip.
After every leg Rival moves towards your last ten legs, at most six points at a time, so one lucky leg does not swing him. Average more and he climbs with you, from pub player to club player, league player and beyond.

The score bar works like the graphic on television: whoever is throwing is lit up, with the score left big enough to read from the oche. On a finish you see the checkout route, built around your favourite double.
Every visit is saved the moment you enter it, so a leg survives a phone call, a closed app or a flat battery. Your average, first nine average and checkout percentage are counted properly, including the darts you missed at a double.

Enter up to four names and play. No accounts, no invitations, no sign up. The middle of the screen keeps a chalkboard the way a scorer at the club does: a column per player with every visit and what was left after it, so a typo is easy to spot and nobody argues about the score.
Legs with friends are free, every day, as many as you like.

Around the Clock lights up the bed you need on the board: 1 to 20 and then the bull, one dart at a time. Tap hit or miss. The board fills with lime as you go, and your record is the fewest darts.
121 checkout gives you three visits to finish from 121. Check out and the target goes up by one; miss and it goes down, never below 121. Your record is the highest target you ever finished.

Everything you need for a night of darts is free. Rival Pro is for when one match a day against Rival is not enough.

Rival does not pick scores from a table. He aims for a bed and lands near it with a human spread, so he hits singles when he goes for trebles and misses doubles. You watch every dart land. Read more on how the dartbot throws.
